There is more to driving or riding safely than just passing your driving or riding test. You can do more training which leads to an advanced test. Find out about the different courses and tests that are available, and how to book them.

Pass Plus will build on your existing skills and knowledge

You can take a Pass Plus course at any time after passing your practical driving test. However, it’s mainly aimed at new drivers in the first year after passing their test.

The course can help you:

• become more confident on the roads
• build on your existing skills and knowledge
• learn how to anticipate, plan for and deal with all kinds of hazards

If you want to progress your driving skills further, you can take an advanced driving test

A number of organisations offer an advanced test. They should be able to offer you training and advice on how best to prepare.

The Driving Standards Agency has approved and monitors advanced driving tests offered by these organisations.
